Economic Empowerment of IDP

The Economic Empowerment of women, plays a vital role in ending violence against women in Cameroon. When women are financially independent, they gain the strength to stand against violence, advocate for their rights, make uninfluenced and informed decisions about their life, families and wellbeing.
AYEF Economically Empowered 10 Internally Displaced Persons(1 male and 9 women) within the locality of Bonaberi, with Financial literacy skills and seed capital to boost existing small business. We followed them up for a period of 3 months helping them grow their business untill it thrived. Out of the 10 IDPs, 8 of them successfully grew their businesses and were able to support their families. We equally supported their children with learning materials and some recieved school fees, this helped them not to ursurb their business capital for other purposes. This project has successfully come to an end for this year and we look forward to adopting a more holistic approach to Economic Empowerment next year, as we reach out to more internally displaced persons.
